INTER-CLUB SPORTS
FULL PROGRAMME ARRANGED MEETING ON SATURDAY The inter-club sports between the Te Puke, AVhakatane antl Tauranga athletic clubs, which was postpone! last Saturday because; of the heavy rain, is to be held in Jubilee Park to-morrow, and will commence at 2 p. m. The first of these events was held a Jew weeks ago at Whakatane. Rivalry between these three clubs is keen, and some excellent sport should result. The following full programme has been drawn up by the combined committees. Ladies: 100 yards sprint, discs throw and high jump. Junior Events: 100 yards and sprint; discs throw; half mile and high jump. Continued foot of nfsxt colitiiu;)
Senior Events: Three mile; 440 yards; javelin throw; and hop, step and jump. Cycle Events: Junior IV2 mile and senior Wi mile. There is also the possibility thai a 880 yards championship event will be staged. At the request of the Whakatane club, a mile relay race is to be included in the programme, and will consist of heals as follows: two to 220 yards; one at 410 yards: one at 880 yards.'The teams for this event will be selected on the ground. If arrangements permit, the following handicap events will also be staged, ind in view of this, it is anticipated that all members of the Te Puke Club will be present to participate: Senior 100 yards and 220 yards; junior 440 yards; ladies' 75 yards* senior two mile cyele; junior one mile cycle; also the usual school children's events will be run.
