BABY CONTEST
GOOD ENTRIES RECEIVED The Centennial Baby contest conducted by the St John Ambulance Association promises to be a great success. Fifty entries have been received to date in Whakatane and it is expected that the average will be fully maintained. In connection with the campaign Mr W. Surrell, of Wellington, who is organising throughout the North Island, will address a public meeting in the County Council Chambers on Tuesday next. Particulars are advertised.
