Mr and Mrs C. A. Tiinbs are leav ing for Auckland this week-end for a holiday. Captain C. A. Lc Lievre has been given week-end" leave and will spend it at his home. Edgeeumbe. Mr E. G.. Webber, Editor of the "Rotorua Morning Post," left Whakatane yesterday morning for Waiohau Bay after staying at the Commercial Hotel. I '' Mr Alexander Cowan, who has. resided in Whakatane for the last six months while superintending the construction of the new building for the Union Bank of Australia, left for Wellington yesterday. He was accompanied by Mrs Cowan. Mr Miles Hamill, son of Mr George Hamill, left yesterday on the Vesper for Auckland, "where he will join the crew of Messrs Nobel's schooner Huia. His comrades him on Wednesday night and made a presentation to him.
