RECOGNISING SERVICE
TOWN a,nd district are reminded of the public gathering on Thursday evening next for the purpose of recognising the services of Constable T. J. Cummings. His retirement followed a record term in Whakatane, in which he earned the goodwill of his friends in town and district and Thursday's gathering will serve to show him just how much his courtesy and thoughtfulness have been appreciated
