Mr and Mrs K. Brabant have returned from an extensive and enjoyable tour of the South Island. Mr E. M. Housley, of Huntly, has been tihe guest of Mr and Mrs R. A. Tims, Ohope. ' Mrs H. Preston of Te Avoha.'.is the guest of her sister, Mrs J. Tliomp son, of Ohope Beach. Mrs Hutton and Mr Bert Hufcton of Taneatua,. have returned from a tour of Auckland and Waikato. Mrs C. J. McCulloch and her family, of Morrinsville. are spending a fortnight's holiday at Ohope. Mrs C. N. Chamberlain, who lias been touring the South Island, returned to Whakatane on Friday. Mrs Jack Goddard, of King Street, has returned from a visit to her relatives in Auckland. Miss Penlington of the staff of the N.Z. Loan and Mercantile, leaves by the Mariposa on Saturday on a holiday visit to- friends in Sydney. Captain E. Cathcart has resumed command of the Clansman, after bci<ng away for some weeks on furlough . Mrs Le Lievre and the Misses Denise and Louise Le Lievre, of Edgecumbe, have been the guests of Mrs J. McLean, Okoroire Springs. Lieutenant T. G. Santon left Taneatua for Narrow Neck military camp to take up duties with the Expeditionary Force. Mrs Craig of Poroporoj has returned home after spending an interesting holiday at Wellington visited the Centennial Exhibition. Mrs W. How at, Miss Howat and Miss Nancile Righton of Whakatane are spending a holiday at Ohope Beach.
