DEFENDANTS FINED AT TE PUKE At a sitting of the Court,, held at Te Puke on Thursdaj*, before Mr E. L. Walton, S.M., the County Inspec tor Mr T. B. Turl'ey (Mr A. Jamieson) proceeded against the following defendants: Ta Tapsell, was charged with failing to clear ragwort from a property ia the Makctu district. The defendant was fined £2 and costs. On similar charges R. Kay (Papamoa) was fined £2 and costs, T. Lennard (Papamoa) £1 and costs, and A. St rach.au (Te Matai) £1 and costs. J. Frethy, of Oaliura, for operating an unlicensed trailer, was fined 10s and costs. I
