INQUIRY TO OPEN NEXT WEEK

ANNOUNCEMENT MADE

A public inquiry will be held next week to enable the Price Tribunal to hear the application by Whakatane Paper Mills, Ltd., for permission to increase prices for its products, according to an announcement which has been made.

The inquiry by the tribunal will mainly be into prices for cardboard, and will be held at the Arbitration Court, Wellington, commencing at 10 am. on Tuesday next.

The inquiry will probably enable a settlement to be reached of points recently discussed by the managing

director, Mr H. A. Horrocks, and the Minister of Supply, the Hon. D. G. Sullivan.
