CAR CRASHES INTO FENCE INJURIES SUSTAINED V At 6..50 on Wednesday evening, n large sedan ear, driven by Mr Joseph Nowland, of Whakatanc, lan •off the road and crashed into a fence at Paroa. The accident occurred when the vehicle Avas turning off tho main Whakatane-Paroa Hpad on to the Tauranga Road. There were five passenger. l : in the car and two of them were injured, the driver sustaining an injury 1o the right hand. Mr Charlie WhareAvera after attention by Dr. I*. J. Appleby was able to proceed to his home, while Mr Jerry Riini was admitted to the hospital suffering from injuries to head and left teg. The •car was badly smashed.
