THE NEW YEAR
APPRECIATION AND THANKS
VOICE OF THE BEACON
With the close of the year 1939, the BEACON marked the
4 ninth month of its existence. During that period it has been possible to glean something of the local body work in town and district, something of the -social life, and something of the requirements of the general public. In all these things it is the desire of the management to be of service in the best interests of all.
Looking . back over the comparatively brief period of the "newspaper's existence there is -one outstanding feature which 'we now propose to recognise. That. is, the wonderful encouragement which has been afforded us in both town and country. In the advertising, jobbing and circulation departments we have met with a warm and heartening response. To our advertisers, subscribe •ers, and business clients we now take pleasure in expressing our .f -deepest thanks for their confidence and co-operation, and in wishing them the very best in the forthcoming New Year sincerely trust that the BEACON will continue to warrant and deserve their consideration and .support. ==============
