HOLIDAY TRAFFIC

FEW ACCIDENTS REPORTED TRIBUTE TO CONTROL A direct tribute to the campaign for greater care on the highways of the Dominion, is the decrease in the number of road accidents in the Bay of Plenty area. As far as can be ascertained no fatalities have taken place and no accidents of a serious nature reported to the police. In view of the great increase in the number of vehicles on the road and the growing volume of traffic passing through the county to Ohope Beach, along a road which is recognised as a fairly dangerous one to those unused to it, the record this year is a most gratifying one.
