UNIQUE BIRTHDAY PARTY

MRS H. A. PRIDEAUX HONOURED

On Saturday last at the residence of Mrs F. Prideaux, Douglas Street many friends gathered to congratulate Mrs H. A. Prideaux on the occasion of her seventieth birliday. Owing to the inclemency of the weather the gathering Ava.s held indoors Avhere a dainty afternoon tea was served by the hostess and Miss Prideaux. During the afternoon two beautiful boquets made by Mrs Brertton and Miss Black, were presented by little Bruce Thomas. Mrs INT. Ramson, on behalf of those prcs ent asked Mrs Prideaux to accept a handsome handbag and the best wishes of the assembled company. The guest of honour suitably replied and then proceeded to cut the cake decked with seventy candles. Invited guests included, Mesdames W. Roberts, Sumner, F. Sumner, McLean, Appleby, Reynolds, Powdrell, Ramson, Canning, E. Ramson, A. Stewart, Billiard, W. Bridger, A. Bridger, Donald, J. Boon, W. R. Boon, Berg', Caulton Brunton, Buddie, Hollaway, Knight Thomas, James, Frazcr, Richardson, Sullivan, Otley. Hawken, Smith., H. Roberts, Grayling- L. Rangi, E. Armstrong, N. Carter, Misses Ramson, A.
