WHAKATANE v. OPOTIKI

A match was played on the Whakatane lawns last Monday between Gpotiki and Whakatane for the South Auckland ('.up and resulted in a win for Whakatane on points— Whakatane 94, Opotiki SI. The weather was fine and the games very much enjoyed. Luncheon was provided at the paviiion by the members of the Whakatane Club. The results of the games are as follows:— Morning games: Mrs Hellyar and Mrs Ilealy lost to Mrs Johnson and Mrs Parkinson; Mrs Sutherland and Mrs Loane beat Mrs Parkinson and Mrs Tabb. Afternoon games: Mrs Hellyar and Mrs Healv beat Mrs Parkinson and Mrs Johnson; Mrs Sutherland and Mrs Loane lost to Mrs Tabb and Mis Parkinson.
