CASES AT MAGISTRATE'S COURT TWENTY-SIX NOT REACHED

The list of cases tabled for hearing by Mr A. Coleman, S.M.. in the Magistrate's Court on Wednesday was the longest for years.

The Magistrate was in chambers for some time prior to the opening of the Court at 10.15 a.m. Debt cases were the first to be heard and then a charge of killing a sheep was dealt with, the accused pleading guilty and only complainant's and police evidence being necesasry.

The next arrangement was on a similar charge and the Court adjourned at 1.5 p.m. for lunch with the case not completed.

Resuming at p.m., the Court sat until 4 o'clock. There were thea 26 criminal cases not reached.
