GOOD YARDINGS RATES MAINTAINED The Farmers' Co-operative Auction eering Co., Ltd., report:— Sheep: At Frankton sale last Tucs day a full yarding of fat sheep, comprised chiefs of wethers, with ewes in shorter supply, met with steady competition and last week's rates Avere fully maintained. Fat lambs sold readily, as also did an offering of 2-tooth store wethers. Cattle: Only a medium yarding of fat cattle was penned. Both ox and cow and heifer beef sold readily at prices slightly better than last week's quotations. A pen of heavy prime bullocks from Mr T.M. Hall, Ohaupo Road, made to £13 ss, a truck of medium prime bullocks on account of Mr W. J. Baldwin, Putaruru, realised from £9 9s to £12, and a truck of good quality Polled Angus heifers from Mr H. R. Clark, Peria, sold from £8 5s to £9 2s fid. There was again a good yarding of boner cattle with values remaining very firm.

Pigs: Another large yarding of fat pigs. Competition for prime top weight., baconers was very keen with values fully up to late rates. Light baconers and porkers were easier of sale. A full yarding of store pigs. Competition was not as keen as at previous sales, with prices slightly easier for both stores and weaners. Quotations: —

Sheep: Heavy fat wethers 23s 3d to 24s Gd, medium 21s 6d to 22s 9d, light and unfinished 19s Gd to 20s (id, prime fat ewes 13s 6d to 15s Gd, kill j able ewes 12s to 13s 9d, canner ewes 8s to 10s, fat lambs 22s fid 2-tooth store wethers 15s to 17s 6d.

Cattle: Heavy prime bullocks £12 17s to £13 ss, medium prime bullocks £9 2s Gd to £12, prime Polled Angus heifers £8 5s to £9 2s 6d, heavy fat cows £7 13s to £8 7s. medium fat cows £G 5s to £7 Bs. lighter £4 12s to £5 18s, heavy fat Jersey cows £fi to £7 IGs, medium fat Jersey cows £4 18s to £5 IGs, heavy boner cows £3 14s to £4 Bs, medium £2 ■9s to £3 Bs, lighter £2 2s to £2 17s. potter bulls £7 to £7 15s, medium runners to £3 13s, small calves lis to IGs, dairy heifers to calve £G to £7 10s.

Pigs: Heavy choppers £2 17s to £3 3s, prime topweight baconers £1 to £4 3s, medium £3 8s to £3 12s, light £3 3s to £3 7s, buttermilk pigs and heavy porkers £2 14s to £3 Is, medium £2 8s to £2 12s, large stores 35s to 37s Gd, slips 25s to 325, best weaners 24s to 2Gs Gd, medium 13s to 17s.
