Mr Walter Gray visited Whaka 1 - tane on Tuesday in .connection with local arrangements for the forthcoming show "Charley's Aunt" staged by the Celebrity Australian Company on November 30th.
Mr and Mrs Charles Mace, Semv and Mr A. Mace, of "Rawhiti," Mangaiti, Te Arolia, and Mrs W. Manning of Mangaiti, Te Aroha, spent Thursday in Whakatane. These visitors were on their way to Welling-* ton.
Mr Charlie Young, of Toroa Street who has been at Trentham military camp for some time, suffered a slight accident to his hand in the course of his duties. He had been granted seven days leave but the condition of his hand made an exten. sion necessary and he will return now on the 27th of this month.
