WEEK-END ROWING

LOCAL CLUB'S CONTEST

During the week-end the Whakatane Rowing Ciub will hold the first contests of the season when they pose Tauranga. It is understood that the visiting club has particularly strong teams and good rowing should be witnessed. The contests will be devided into three classes, Juniors, Intermediates and Seniors and the local club is well represented in these. The rowing will commence at 1.30 p.m. and fine weather should draw a large crowd.
