Air Training Resumes
The annual overhaul of the AvroAvian machine, used for training' purposes by Mr S. J. Blackmore, under arrangement with the Rotorua and Hay of Plenty Aero Club, has now been completed, and a certificate of airworthiness issued. Mr Blackmore carried out tests lasl Thursday with the 'plane, giving a short stunting display over the lake. Training will be resumed to-day, when the first of the large number of trainees whose living has been interrupted by the overhaul of the machine, will resume tuition. Since the closing down of a number of aero clubs owing to war requirements, many requests have been received by Mr Blackmore to undertake the training of pupils from outside centres, these coming from as far afield as Wanganui and the King Country.
