Mr D. W. C- ten: tn, M.P. for Gisborne will, in the same terms as are expressed in regard to the Northwestern section of the Bay of Plenty Electorate, attend to the electoral needs in the South Eastern portion of the electorate. The district which Mr Coleman will look after on Mr Hultquist's behalf includes the following post offices: Gisborne, Matawai, Motu, Ruatoria, Te Araroa* Te Karaka, Tikitiki, Tokomaru Bay, Tolaga Bay, Waipiro Bay, Aorangi, Arero, East Cape, Hautanoa, Hexton Hicks Bay, Horoero, Makaraka, Makauri, Mangapapa, Motuhora, Orrnond, Otoko, Puha, Rakauroa, Rangitukia, Te Puia Springs, Waerenga-a> hika, Waikohu, Waimata Valley, Waiomatatini, Waipaoa, Waitakaro, Whakaangiangi, Whangara, Whatatutu.
Mr Coleman's address during the Parliamentary recess is 161 Stanley Road, Gisborne, or c/o the Borough Council Chambers, Gisborne. When the House is in session, his address is the same as Mr Moncur's.
The fact that Messrs Moncur and Coleman Ms.P. have so willingly agreed to look after the interests, of the Bay of Plenty electors is. naturally, a cause for the utmost appreciation of their generous action by Mr Hultquist himself, who has asked this paper to assure electors thai their affairs will be well cared for by his two colleagues.

G. Hultquist enlisted with the New Zealand Special Forces at Whakatane on the 25th October, and was passed medically fit and attested by Colonel Prideaux of Whakatane on the 30th Oct ober. Mr Hultquist's previous military training was had in the Hamilton High School Cadets, firstly, and in the Engineer Section of the Territorials in Auckland and Christchurch in the days of compulsory military training—a total of seven years service. Apart.from being the Member for the Bay of Plenty in Parliament A —he was elected for his second term in October last year—he Js an electrical engineer by trade. He held first and second grade electrical fitter's tickets in Christchurch, and! a Master Wireman's Ticket in Dunedin in the days before the passing of the New Zealand Electrical Wireman's Registration Act, 1925. Since then he has been the holder of an Electri- , ■' F ! V cal Wireman's His knowledge of telephone installation especially and elcctrical installations generally is calculated to be helpful in the unit of the foites to wh'ch he ex-* f ' pects to be attached, viz the Signal-
ling Corps.
Mr Hultquist's only brother —Ron —who is eighteen months younger, is a foreman in the employ of Messrs Boon Sullivan and Luke, builders, Whakatane. He was, for a number of years, a scoutmaster in Christ- /
church, and he served for an aggregate of ten years in the Cadets and! in the Territorials as a driver and Lewis Gunner in the Artillery (10th: Battery). R.N. (Ron) Hultquist enlisted with his brother —A.G.—and' was passed medically fit and attested on the 16tii inst.
The two brothers have exercised a privilege provided for in the King's regulations and asked permission to serve in Mie -samy unii. Timt may not be immediately possible a3 Mr Hultauist M.P. has been advised to be ready to enter Trentham camp on: the Bth or 9th of December, whereas his brother does not expect to be called up until the 2nd Echelon tfs ordered into camp—presumably in January next.. They expect to be together in the Signalling Corps, then.
In the meantime, Mr A. G. Hultquist is very busy finalising matters affecting his electorate, and doing all he can to make easy the transfer of the care of his constituency to two of his colleagues. (Note: The following arrangements will not take effect until Mr Hultquist leaves for camp. Mr A. F. Moncur M.P. for Rotorua will, during the whole time that Mr Hultquist is rendering military service at Home or abroad, attends ]•£" to all matters arising in the area on the North-Western side of the Raukumara Ranges.
