DR. BARNADO'S HOMES

YOUNG HELPERS LEAGUE

OPENING OF BOXES

A party in connection with the box opening of the Young Helpers League of the Dr Barnado Homes was held in the school grounds on Tuesday afternoon organised by Miss M. Whiteside, the local secretary and treasurer. An excellent sum was collected from the boxes.

Rounders, treasure hunts and outdoor games were much appreciated by the members, the winners of the competitions being June Taylor, Frances Roberts, Jean Howat, Isobel Martin, Malcolm Law, Pat Comiskey, Ron Seebeck and Jimmy Chadwick.

Afternoon tea and iced drinks were served indoors later.

The other lady helpers were Mrs P. Sisam, Mrs C. Southey, Miss P. Daldy and Miss F. Sloane.
