VARIETY CONCERT
ASSISTING PATRIOTIC FUND Details of the social variety entertainment, which is being staged by the Whakatanc Lyceum Club in the King Street Hall on Wednesday, November 29, are now to hand. The effort will lie to provide comforts for the soldiers and a first class piogramme had been arranged. The bill includes the Canadian Orchestra, exhibited dances by Miss Patience's pupils, comedy turns by Mr 'Tony' Smith late of the famous Pat Hanna's shows, poi and other native dances by the Poroporo school children, physical culture display by members of the Lyceum Club, and
also horizontal work by Mr Dickson. An enjoyable play will be con-
tributed by the club members, while Air H. Bruce will infuse some more of the comedian sketches. Miss Thatcher has also promised to provide several vocal solos with orchestra!
accompaniment, while Mr H. Annstrong Avill give several moutborgan
selections,
