Precautionary Flooding The Netherlands military authorities have been carrying out extensive flooding tests, of wide areas on the frontier. The upshot is that the conclusion has been reached that such measures could be a formidable obstacle to a mechanised army. Hyderabad Fighting Squadron. The £100,000 donated for war purposes by the Ni?.im of Hydarabad will be devoted by the Avar office to the construction of a special squadron of aerial fighters, which will bear the creecnt and crest of His Exaulted Highness, and probably carry his motto, 'Faithful Ally.* Fantastic German Claim One of the most fantastic German claims of the war, is the sinking of H.M.S. Kestrel by a German submarine. In reality H.M.S. Kestrel, is a naval training depot several miles inland.
