TANEATUA BRANCH MEETS
The monthly meeting of the Tan-
catua branch of the V/.D..F.U. was held hi the Domain Pavilion, Mrs Hill presiding over a large attendance of members. Discussions resulted in a decision to hold a garden party in November to raise funds. Several more names were received as being willing to accept refugees in case of evacuation. Mrs F. C. Yeoman is to give a talk and exhibit paintings of the Pink and White Terraces, the paintings having been executed by her father, the late Mr Blomfield. The talk is to be given at the centennial exhibition on April 2(5, 1940. The hostesses were Mesdames Fox, Tcbbutt, McGougan. Competitions: Knitted bootees, Mrs Prideaux 1 and 2. Lemon cheese Mrs Frost 1,, Mrs Grace 2. Double flower, Mrs Prince 1, Mrs Tockcr 2. Single flower, Mrs Bennett I, Mrs Hill 2.
The meeting closed with the National Anthem.
