POLICE INQUIRY CONTINUES

There have been no further developments in the police investigation into the circumstances surrounding the discovery of a newborn baby in the Kopeopeo drain on Sunday. Dctective-Sergeant R. H. Watcrson has now returned to Gisborne,, and the investigation is being carried on by the local police officers, who say their work is now largely routine and may take some time to produce a definite result.
