INCREASED ACCOMMODATION

REQUIRED

The following letter from the Minister of Education, Hon. P. Fraser, has been forwarded by Mr A. G, Hultquist, member for the district:

"In continuation of my letter of the 25th September, I have to inform srou5 r ou that the Education Department has now received from the Auckland Education Board an application for a grant to cover the cost of adding two classrooms and a combined library and commercial loom to the secondary departments of the Whakatane District High School.

"The board has been requested to indicate the order of urgency of the application, and upon receipt of this information the proposal will receive further consideration. "I shall have pleasure in communicating with you again in due course."
