KEEN COMPETITION The Farmers' Auctioneering Co. Ltd. report having held their fortnightly sale at the Edgecumbe yards on .Monday when they offered a good yarding of* pigs to a large bench of buyers. Competition was keen and every pen wa.s sold under the hammer, resulting in good returns in favour of vendors. Bacon pigs were in keen demand and met with a ready sale. Wo quote: Heavy buconers £3 .15s to £,'] 18s: medium baeoners £3 8s to ( .':i 10;: light baeoners £3 3s; heavy porkers £2 8s to £2 IDs; light pork-j er s £2 to £2 (>s; large stores £2 10s to £2 19s; slips £1 10s to £1 18s; weanors, good SI 4s to £1. 7s; vreaners medium 18s to 21s; choppers, light £2 to £2 ss; sows with litters to £7. The next .sale will be held on MonOctober 23 when v.e advise all fanners to consign pigs to the yards for full market values.
