Mrs Haultain. provincial president of the Bay of Plenty executive, would be pleased to hear from the council concerning any activities it might be organising and in "what way members of her branches could give ass'stnnce. The restrictions on the use of petrol meant a devious handicap to countrywomen who had long distances to travel for meeting; hut in they could be advised, of what articles were needed they were most willing to do all they could in their own homes and the provincial executive officers would undertake tnkeen in touch with them in regard to such services. The Mayor Mr B. S. Birry, said that the clerk had been instructed to inform the division that it should g'ot in touch with the Red Cros? Society.
