WHAKATANE CLUB
Last Saturday's one-club match was keenly contested by a large field and sonic very interesting results were attained the best catfds being returned by C. Roberts with an excellent score of S3-(i-77. This Ava? followed by several cards in the low 80s.
On Sunday a team from Mokorua visited the Whakatane Club when, in spite of unfavourable weather which prevented many from attendin an enjoyable day's-golf eventuated. Although the results were in favour of the home club, the visitors adapted themselves to the conditions excellently and many of!them playing on the course for the first time, 7-cturnod scores well in accord with their handicaps.
