STATE PLANS FOR 86 SUBDIVISIONS APPROVED There are plans in view for the) erection of 36 more State houses in Whakatane. This was stated when the subdivision of Ramson's block for 26 State houses was approved by the Whakatapc Borough Council at Monday night's meeting. The Mayor, when the phms were, being inspected, said that a sort of No-man's Land of three perches was shown. He thought that they should only approve if this area were joined to another section. Cr A. J. Canning explained that the section had been left for an entrance to the Catholic grounds." The plan was approved, as also was the plan for the first subdivision of Sutherland's block. It was stated that ten houses woukl be built on this area.
