<». Mrs Fielder, of Edgecumbe Road 1 Tauranga, received a cable last week from her daughter Miss Beatrice Fielder, saying that with Mrs Rutland and Miss she had safely arrived in New York. Probably the Ihree Avill spend a little time in Canada where Miss Rutland has a brother. Mrs Rutland's last letter to Mrs Dendv frcm England, tells one little story Avhich is irresistible. They were staying in a part where there were some of the children who had been evacuated from London's East End. A friend was out one day and meeting a party of these children asked one, 'Have you ever been in the country before?'' The child answered, "No, but I knew some peo- . nle what did come once, though. 'Gawd knows what for'!''
