dramatic evening
Three ore-act plays were read and acted at the Lyceum Club on Monday evening before an interested audience. The first pja,y' was called "The Tree," Those in the cast were:Vera Mrs Fletcher Cole; Anna, Mrs J. Morice; Leopold, Mrs J. Conolly; Mrs C. Southey; The Gard-» ener, Mrs Warner. The second play was "The X?nderstucly.'' The cast was: The Leading Lndy Miss M. Dell; Nora. Miss A. Clark; Ellen, Mrs C. Thomas; Grace, Miss B. Allan; The Dresser r Miss, Harding. The third play was "Just, a Bit of Life." The cast was: Mrs Smith. .Mrs Boswell; Mr F. Smith, Miss Carlyon; Mrs Knaggs Miss Mullin; kins. Miss Ngatai. Two enjoyable solos were sung by Mrs Drube accompanied by Mrs F. Appleby. Among the audience were Mrs E. Armstrong, Mrs F. Appleby, Mrs G> Otley, Mrs D. Pearse Mrs; Drube, Mrs P. Sisam ? Misses Whiteside, Sloane and Dell.
