OHOPE TENNIS
CLUB RE-FORMED * ' Jr Keen enthusiasm was evident afi the special meeting held at the Hostel Ohope on Monday evening to consider the re-formation of a Tennis Club at Ohope. A lengthy list of prospective members was tabled and |it was unanimously decided to re--form the club the opening day being set down for Saturday, October 1, commencing at 1.30 p.m. Tlie election of officers resulted as follows:-—Patron: Mr Run ne rst rum president: Mr G. Mahy; vice-presi-dents: Messrs N. Wetherilt, Langton R. Frazer .F. Mahy, Snr. and G. Kilvington; secretary and treasurer: Miss T. White; committee: Mesdames Donaldson, G. Jackson, E. Robinson and Messrs K. Goodwin and E. N. Robinson; club captain: Iv. Goodwin; ladies' captain: Mrs G*. Jackson. Details in connection with the opening day, ladder matches, su£>« etc. ? were also discussed and fully dealt with. Ohope residents whose names have not already beer, handed in and who wish to join the new club are advised to get in touch with the secret tary immediately.
