POLICE STATION
JOB PRACTICALLY FINISHED :cr he plastering of the outside walls the new police station has now been finished and only small touches remain to be done to the residence, into which Constable T. J. Curamings is at present preparing to move. The cells are complete except for the installation of the special ' heating plant, but until this arrives the painters are unable to finish their work. With their white walls and tiled roofs the group of buildings look very attractive and neat.. They are solidly constructed and no pains have been, spared to make them both comfortable and lasting, while cell and office accommodation is 011 a scale that will give a margin to deal with the continued growth of " Whakatane.
