annual meeting held APPOINTMENT OF OFFICERS i! Wc often say 'Why don't the public, come end sec us and support us?' My argument, is that We have! first got to put a show on and attract the public. Raymond, P. Coutts D. C. Morpeth; secretary: tVIr W. F. F. Ward;" assistant-secre-tary: Mr W. Chambers;' treasurer: Mr Alan Morpeth; club captain: Mr X.. Preston: committee: Messrs R. Woolliams., J. Tt was decided to support both these, and give -prox'es to Mr Manderson, their originator. The question of subscriptions brought several suggestions which were embodied in motions and amend ments, the chief point of difference being the amount to charge juniors. 'Eventually it was decided to allow "the subscriptions to remain as they were last season. THE TRACK. 'Mr A. Morpeth that he understood the Domain Board might make a donation of £15 to build up a track. They would never make anything satisfactory while football was played on the and he wondered if it would be possible to form a track on the League ground or on the showgrounds. At any rate he.doubted whether much could be done with ■£15. It was pointed out that the money ■could only be used for the Domain. Mr White said a good discing and rolling would help considerably in Improving the track. Mr I. Woollianis said that some pumice sand and manure would Improve the track immensely. Te Kuifci "had done this and now hac\ a very fast track. On Mr L. Preston's motion Messrs W. S. Henderson and L. Ormond were appointed a sub-committee to wait on the Domain Board, and apply for the grant of £15 and discuss its expenditure. The matter of obtaining permission from the Domain Board to hold the meetings was also mentioned, and the sub-committee was further instructed to ask for permission to approach the Cricket Association and obtain the Domain for at least throo Saturday meetings, and also to obtain permission to make a charge at the gate on these occasions.
