ST. JOHN AMBULANCE
CALL FOR RECRUITS MEETING ON THURSDAY A special effort is being ma;:le to increase the strength of the local branch of the St John Ambulance Association in order that it may become a properly constituted organisa tion and thus considerably enlarge its sphere of activities. There is no need here to stress the -wonderful work of the Association, or the great asset of the knowledge of First Aid, as taught by itr; instructors. There is however an urgent need for more men members* and a .special appeal is being made for young men, from 18 years upwards to come forward and enlist in this great movement. A brief resume of the work of the local branch during the past football season is of interest. No less than accidents have been attendeld to, and at least one member of the association has been in attendance at all matches. At least twelve members are required to constitute a branch. There arc a number of certificate holders in the district and their active association at the present time would be greatly appreciated by the branch. All members and intending members are asked to make a point of attending next Thursday's meeting at 7.30.
