CATTLE ! DEMAND FOR > &OWN BEASTS Dalgety and Co. Ltd. report having held their Spring Cattle Fair at Whakatane on Thursday when fully the advertised number of cattle came forward and 'were submitted to the largest bench of buyers seen here for some years. Considering the season the cattle were in quite good condition. Yours?' cattle were not keenly sought after, but grown cattle with condition wcce subject to brisk bidding, most pens changing hands at values on par with recent quotations. We quote: Fat P.A. cows £9 10s to £9 15s; forward conditioned cows, to £4 9s; 4 year H. and P.A. bullocks t good condition £9 12s to £9 12s 6d; 3 year H. and P.A. bullodks. good condition £8 9s to £8 15s; 3 year H. and P.A. bullocks, store condition £f7 5s to £7 17s 6d; 2 ytar H, and P.A. bullocks £6 to S/7 Is; yearling H. and P.A. steers £2 to £3 17s 6d: speyed 2 and 3 year Hereford heifers to £5 15s; empty 2 year !P.A. heifers £3 to £3 15s; small 2 yea* P.A heifers 36s to £2 10s; yearling P.A. heifers to £2 10s.
