NO AMMUNITION

RIFLE CLUBS PREDICAMENT CONSERVED FOR MILITARY In view of the Government's iestrictions on the allocation of ammunition to rifle clubs and other organisations by which it may be required for other than military purposes, the Rangitaiki Defence RiOc Club, which was to hold its annual meeting next week has decided to go into recess until such time as th'. ban is lifted. While there is a certain amount of disappointment on the part of members it is realised nevertheless that such action was necessary in the interests of home defence. While there remains a possibility of a short age the club will cease to be active —if necessarj- for the duration of the Avar.
