REQUEST FROM CHURCH
FORMATION OF FOOTPATH A request from the board of managers of' Ae Knox Church regarding the formation of a footpath in front of the church property in Domain Road was received at Monday night's meeting of the Whakatane Borough Council. The Mayor said that the work had already been authorised by the works committee. Gr W. Sullivan said the grass wi-s in fair order now. It was all very well to lay down paths but it was another thing to maintain, them There were only two or three houses on that side and he did not see what purpose a formed footpath would : serve.
