A MATAMATA ENTRANT
Included in the entries for the New Zealand Cup is Mr J. Corbctt's The Cardinal a recent winner at the Pakurangi Hunt Club meeting. On breeding lines he is fully eligible for such a contest being by Niglit Raid from Palestrina, a Now Zealand OaU winner. In his training work he has given evidence of being a stayer, and on the eventful day Matamaca may at least be represented by a candidate likely to run prominently in the big Riccarton race.
