McLennan sanitary contrac- - tory Avrote to the Whakatane Borough CoqpWl stating that the recent r increase price of petrol would *inake quite a difference in his net and asking that the council increase his contract price by a i halfpenny r> pan. This would mean an extra 60ft miles running said the Mayor, Mr S. Barry. It would be as well if -the works committee got in, touch with the contractor and obtained further information regarding truck mileage.
