There "were three or four chases after the gor.ts and a number were captured and taken away by farmers who had ' blackberry to eliminate on their - farms. It had been impossible to - capture some of the goats which Avere too much for the dogs. The Mayor, Mr B. S. Barry, said Constable T. J. Cummings.organised several expeditions of the youtli • of the district and caught quite a : number of goats.
