LIFE ASSURANCE POLICIES During the last few (lays it has becomc evident that some doubt exists in the minds of policyholders, regarding the position of life policies in relation to war conditions and enquiries of the A.M. P. Society elicit that, so far as its existing policies ore concerned, service in any arm of the British or Allied Forces—whether military } or air forces — will not entail payment of an additional war risk premium. The condition on all existing policies that an extra premium is payable before the Society -will extend lull cover to members engaging in submarine or aircraft operations is also to be suspended so far as those on active service are concerned, and ir. such circumstances should a claim occur the full benefits will be pay j able. These privileges are to be extended also to those on whose lives proposals are already in hand provided they are completed immediately. In the case of policies being applied for in the future it should be understood that they will necessarily be subject to a war risk clause which Will provide for the payment of a,n additional premium should the assured enter on active service and desire to secure full cover in event 0$ death arising ar a result of such service.
