PAPER MILLS PRODUCTION The Whakatanc Paper Mills is over coming 'the atmospheric and mechanical difficulties inseparable from the first running of such a huge machine. It will be remembered that a good deal of trouble was at first experienced with condensation from the drying cylinders, but the installation of the new hood over the machine has remedied this. Tlic plant last week experienced a very successful run and* it was in production from 3 a. m.- on Sun;lay, August 26th until noon last Saturday. In 'this period 116 tons of highgrade heavy caliper M.G. duplex card was produced. It is an 80 per cent pinus insignus product and it is very highly finished and strong, suitable for all classes of box-mak-ing and packaging. The machineglazed finish was very finely finished especially for printing purposes.
