Star v Taneatua at Taneatua; Old Boys Reserves v Old Boys at Whakatane; Poroporo a bye. Mr Henderson said the Referees' Association had requested a free day on September 16 for the a nnual referees match at Te Puke. However a competition day had been lost owing to the matches last Saturday and it seemed that it would be necessary to play. Mr White thought thai under the circumstances if some of the referees wanted to play, and one or two new men took games, the clubs would not object. It was eventually decided, on the motion of Mr Gee seconded by Mr Tunui, to carry on the club fixtures. The next meeting will be on Tuesday, the Taneatua ; delegates promising to get down to Whakatane if possible.
