A WIN FOR TE AROHA
Tc Aroha was represented at the Pakuranga meeting by two candidates only, those of Mr :FL. B. Hines viz., Black Musk and Brazen Bold. The latter turned out in nice racing condition by Norman and capably ridden by J. Winder, won ihe Second Division of the Sylvia Park Handicap with his ears pricked and in true racehorse style and show ing that he lias not lost his two year old speed (as exhibited at Paeroa and Tauranga in the autumn) or his distinct partiality to galloping whether in fields large or small. Judging by his successful effort on Saturday theBrazen —Ridicule colt i> capable of taking hj- s place among better company than he met at Klicrslie. Black Musk ran quite a good race in the Jellicoe Handicap ? his finishing run on a heavy track being distinctly meritorious. When this Musketoon gelding races on a firmer course the Opposition will have to travel very fast to head him off.
