DEATH OF FORMER MEMBER LETTER TO PRIME MINISTER The death of Mr Andrew Anderson ) a former member of the Whakatane County was referred to by Cr J. L. Burnett, chairman, at the meeting of the council on Tuesday. It was stated that Mr Anderson had served in the okl days about 1912 when it was necessary to ride to meetings. He had been a quiet, unassuming man. The council resolved to send a message of condolence to Mr Anderson's relatives, and stood in silence for a moment.
