A CHAIRMAN'S MEMORY
WORK FOR DAIRY COY. THE LATE MR WALTER REID • Striking tributes to the late, Mr Walter Reid who for many years was the chairman of the Opouriao Dairy Company Directorate, was paid by suppliers at the annual meeting of the company at Taneatua yesterday, all present standing in silence to his memory. In moving a motion of sympathy to his family, the chairman, Mr W. L. said the company has suffered a severe loss in the xlcath of the late chairman, and his passing was a great blow to them all The late Mr Reid w r as a director of this company since 1901 and was appointed chairman in 1907, a position he filled till the time of his deathDuring the past 38 years he rendered a good and faithful service to the company and his absence from the directors meetings will be deeply felt. His good judgment in all things pertaining to the company will be missed. In speaking of our loss I find I can draw some pleasure from the fact that his son Mr Morris Reid has been appointed to fill his father's position as director;
