HEADING THE LIST
For the racing season ended July Beau Pere is the leading sire. De. faulter by Defoe, the champion racehorse, the Clifford Estate. Christchurch the leading owners, T. JR. George, of Trentham, the most successful trainer, and W. Broughton head of the list of jockeys. Beau Pere is now located in New South Wales, so may' be displaced in the Dominion th\s season by such sires ns Bulandshnr, Hunting Song Night Raid, Siegfried and Defoe. The Beau Pere stock still in New Zealand are decidedly high class but may not be sufYie'ent in point of number to head the list of winners.
