THE "GOOD ENDEAVOUR" LEAGUE FOR YOUNG READERS ONLY
PETER THE WHALER Jf ~ WHALE ISLAND
What Ho everybody. I have at least thirty-five letters in front of >ne fioni members of my lively crew. Well—well—well, I ccrtainly can't feel lonely with such a huge mail. I'll bet King George doesn't get as much in one Aveek! Everyone seems to' have guessed the ansAver to the competition Avhich has made it harder than ever for me to judge it and give prizes to the Aviimers. However I can only do my best and I have brought a new bale of aspirins to OA-ereomc the headaches it giA*cs me. Well at any rate, let's get down to business. Butinslcy, says that he insists on, going with us on the goodAvill course. I say lie can't as we have made no provision for goats. Well he has the cheek- to say that he doesn't Avant any provisions other than a seaboot or two and an occasional felt hat that Avill do him for food, he says and as for sleeping— avc 11 he reckons he could be quite comfortable on a pile of toAV. I T spect Ave'll have to take the lubber along! As for the cruise itself well the ice has molted now and all being aa'cll wc should be off soon.
