DIVISION DOINGS
AWAKERI'S'TENTH BIRTHDAY A very pleasant afternoon was spent on the occasion of the tenth birthday party of the Awaken W.D.F.U. held in the Awakcri Hail, the president, Mr*? L. Luxton, welcoming the visitors. Delegates from surrounding divisions and institutes extended greet, ings from their respective branches. A letter of greetings was received from Mrs Grey, the secretary, who was absent. The afternoon was spent in a so_ v.'i?il form interspersed with competitions and plays. Two plays were very much appreciated and well acted. Tiie first was a two-act play ''Becky Sharp" acted by Mis es Green up, liowell and Boon and Mesdamcs Conolly and Hawkins, and "No Fol_ 1 owens" by Misses Greenup and Howell and Mesdamcs Hopkirk and Carter A tap dance given by the Misses Jensons was grcatl\ T enjoyed and the competition was won by Mrs C. Wilson. The birthday eake made by Mrs Brizzle was cut by Mrs Grace of Taneatua. A dainty afternoon tea was dispensed b\ r the hostesses Mesdamcs Butler and Powell and help. er..s and a jolly afternoon was brought to a close.
