WHAKATANE WEILL TAURANGA TOO TOUGH Tauranga decisively defeated Wha-* katane in the final match of the 15 grade championship of the Bay of Plenty to the tune of ten matches to one. Whakatane could only manage to win two men's doubles, and in all the other matches, the combination and positional play of Tauranga were very much superior. As Tauranga had already won the series, tlie games were played in a very friendly spirit and Whakatane enjoyed tlie matches all the more be- 1 cause of good feeling that prevailed. There is to be a Bay of Plenty wind.up to be held at Tauranga oa August 12th, and Whakatane will send up a team of eight players to represent the club there.
